VERSOVignole project!
In collaboration with Technische Universität Berlin , VERAS Association and the German Pavilion of the La Biennale di Venezia Foundation
We are happy to collaborate with Technische Universität Berlin, VERAS Association and the German Pavilion of the La Biennale di Venezia Foundation for the VERSOVignole project! VERSOVignole is the project of the architecture course of Professor Pasel this year at TU Berlin and is part of the workshop program Maintenance 1:1 of the German Pavilion at the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale!
With the title "Open for Maintenance", curated by Arch+, Summacumfemmer and Büro Juliane Greb, this year’s German contribution transformed the representative German pavilion into a living place of (re)production and storage of materials. In the German pavilion, the material collected from over 40 national pavilions of the 2022 Biennale of Art - which would typically be discarded, has been digitally catalogued and stored in an eye-catching exhibition repository. These materials will find new life in projects for the benefit of the local community and contribute to the social fabric of Venice as VERSOVignole! During the summer semester, students of Prof. Ralf Pasel and researcher Tobias Rabold Department of Construction and Design at the Technische Universität Berlin worked on the architectural and landscape development of the Island of Vignole in collaboration with local experts and activists. And now, the time has come! This week, TU Berlin students and professors are on site at Vignole Island, bringing their projects to life by reusing materials deposited in the German pavilion! We look forward to seeing the results of this great effort! Saturday 1.07.23 there will be the presentation of the completed works at Vignole, if you are interested in learning more about this project please contact us!
